Vatican City Tours: Skip The Tickets, Guide Tours

Explore the world’s smallest country on a Vatican Tour! In 1929, after years of dispute between the Italian Government and the Catholic Church, Benito Mussolini signed a pact with the Vatican making this small city-state its own sovereign kingdom. And, with your Vatican City tickets, you’ll see the St. Peter’s Basilica, Sistine Chapel, Bramante Staircase, the Apostolic Palace, and many other Vatican City points of interest. Enjoy skip-the-line privileges into Vatican City and tour the Vatican Museum, where you’ll find the Sistine Chapel. Or, do a 3-in-1 saver combo that includes a Rome Hop-On, Hop-Off Tour and Colosseum too. You can even splurge for a Vatican Museum & Sistine Chapel First Entrance ticket, which lets you see Michelangelo’s ceiling of the Sistine Chapel without the major crowds. For those who want a special experience during your Sightseeing trip, an after-hours Vatican Tour at night will make you feel like a V.I.P. It’s what to do in Rome when you want to come back with some stories!

Booked online before we arrived, paid for skip the line tickets for Vatican and Colosseum - well worth the money to avoid the long queues in that soaring heat ! Only downside is the collection point for Colosseum tickets is a good distance from the bus drop off point so you have to walk a good ten minutes to collect the entry tickets to then walk back to the Colosseum which isn't the end of the world except when you are tied for time !

  • Good tour experience!

The Tour was good overall , although because we got there on Sat night, we had to validate out tickets on Sunday. The office closest to our hotel, Ariston Hotel, was closed. So we had to get metro tickets and make our way all the way to the office at Vatican City, in order to get validation. However, the Pope came out for his weekly prayer , so that was a treat for us. Although I found the cost of the Omnia card a little pricey, however the use of Roma card including the metro was a good combination!.
