Reach the meeting point to get onboard the bus for a comfortable transfer to Castel Gandolfo. You shall be provided with all the useful information you need before the departure.
The 55-hectare Castel Gandolfo property includes the lush garden area in 30 hectares. The rest of the 25-hectare area is used for farming activities, conducted according to aesthetical country garden standards. Visit the Castel Gandolfo Gardens in a minibus and witness the huge expanse of botanical treasures and works of art. Listen to the audio commentary, available in 6 different languages, to know about the historical and cultural relevance of this gorgeous setting.
Then, a visit to the Papal Villas will consist of a tour by minibus within the Papal gardens of Castel Gandolfo followed by a free visit to the Museum to the papal apartments within the Apostolic Palace. The Papal Palace (or Apostolic Palace) of Castel Gandolfo is a Museum belonging to the Catholic Church that is located within the area of the Pontifical villas of Castel Gandolfo. At the end of the visit, you will have ample time to eat and explore the place.
Get onboard the bus to come back to the heart of Rome. Upon reaching, you will be given your afternoon ticket City Sightseeing ticket which is valid after 3:00pm.
After the tour, you can make your own way back to the hotel.
