You think the Romans are all about big, hearty meals? Think again! This Roman Street Food Tour will make you snack like a local and treat your palate to a riot of flavours - although you can bet they will fill you up with their generous proportions!
The perfect tour for short-stay visitors, it combines a 2-hour walking tour with 6 unforgettable tastings of true Eternal City classics. Exploring the heart of the Roman metropolis and cult locations like the square where Julius Caesar was assassinated, the Campo di Fiori groceries market, and the hidden idyll of a former monastery (this one’s a surprise!) - it’s a journey that also introduces you a section of this city’s fascinating history.
Our culinary trail includes sampling some quintessential Roman street delicacies like the suppli, focaccia, pinsa (an ancient type of Roman pizza), and of course, Italian dolci. Completing the experience is our local foodie guide’s amusing tales of each dish’s history as well as some astonishing hilarious anecdotes about the city itself.
What are you still thinking? Head to Rome and eat like the Romans do - with all their heart!
