Colosseum Tours & Tickets

The clash of swords, steel against steel. A roar erupts around the packed amphitheatre as the mighty gladiator ends the duel. Raising their arms aloft to the baying crowd, a hero, for the time being at least. Step forward 2000 years and a different crowd applauds, for the Colosseum remains an impressive landmark on the Rome skyline, a memory to ancient entertainment, now regarded as modern entertainment for tourist crowds. The weapon of choice a camera or smartphone over a sword. Purchase any Colosseum tickets and tours, and you’ll understand why this arena stands the test of time. Why it should be high on your Rome tours agenda. Skip the line to beat the crowds. Combine with a visit to another of Rome’s iconic attractions like the Roman Forum or Vatican Museums or a hop-on hop-off tour. Or head into the future and try a VR tour around the mighty venue. Whichever tour you choose, it will thrilling and memorable, and you’ll be the one raising their arms as a winner.

Booked online before we arrived, paid for skip the line tickets for Vatican and Colosseum - well worth the money to avoid the long queues in that soaring heat ! Only downside is the collection point for Colosseum tickets is a good distance from the bus drop off point so you have to walk a good ten minutes to collect the entry tickets to then walk back to the Colosseum which isn't the end of the world except when you are tied for time !

  • Good tour experience!

The Tour was good overall , although because we got there on Sat night, we had to validate out tickets on Sunday. The office closest to our hotel, Ariston Hotel, was closed. So we had to get metro tickets and make our way all the way to the office at Vatican City, in order to get validation. However, the Pope came out for his weekly prayer , so that was a treat for us. Although I found the cost of the Omnia card a little pricey, however the use of Roma card including the metro was a good combination!.
