The tour starts from Piazza del Popolo, on the steps of Santa Maria del Popolo church located next to the big archway in the city of Rome. You will be picked up from here in an air-conditioned coach and accompanied by an English-speaking guide taken on an ‘Angels and Demons’ tour based on the book by Dan Brown.

The story of Angels and Demons involves a conflict between an ancient group, the ‘Illuminati’ and the Roman Catholic Church. Take this treasure-hunt like romp through the Eternal City of Rome, follows the path of the ‘Illuminati’, a secret brotherhood which acts as a shadowy power behind the throne.

Visit Santa Maria del Popolo church, Piazza del Popolo, St. Peter’s Square, Santa Maria della Vittoria church, Pantheon, Piazza della Minerva, Piazza Navona and Castel Sant’Angelo.

Explore Castel Sant’Angelo from the inside. It is a towering cylindrical building initially commissioned by the Roman Emperor Hadrian as a mausoleum for himself and his family. The popes converted the structure into a castle in the 14th century. In Dan Brown’s novel, the location was the secret lair for the Hassassin (the killer) and the last existing church of the Illuminati.

After exploring the castle and learning about Hassassin’s plan to blow up the Vatican City and other secrets, the tour ends at Castel Sant’Angelo.

Louise was absolutely the BEST! She gave us much more than just a tour, and the information was incredibly good. I have been to Rome several times as a Latin teacher with my students, and Louise kept me engaged at all times with her knowledge and witticism. I have NEVER been a fan of tours, but I will definitely recommend this tour to anyone going to Rome. It's a shame that your company cannot be involved with tours of the Vatican, etc, because I would have availed your guides for much more than I did. How about starting a similar tour in Paris for the Da Vinci Code book?!?

This was a fantastic trip worth every penny! The tour guide was full of useful information that made the trip so much fun. I loved this tour and would definetly do it again.

My family really enjoyed this tour. A lot, I think, was due to our tour guide, Massimo, who really knew his stuff. We followed the path dictacted by Dan Brown's book, but at each step Massimo gave us a lot of historical background which was very enlightening and made the tour a lot more interesting. This was especially so when he was able to point out the problems with the story told by Dan Brown and how the author changed facts to suit his purposes. Massimo was also able to answer many of our questions, which indicated to us that he not only knew the details associated with the tour but also a lot of Rome's history as well. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see a lot of Rome in four hours and get a good understanding of some of the history surrounding the monuments and churches which are part of the experience.

I booked this tour because my 11 year old son had read Dan Brown's books and, on our four day visit to Rome, we wanted to make sure that we had included something in the itinerary to interest him. We haven't booked a guided tour before, preferring to investigate our surroundings ourselves, so we weren't sure what to expect. Well, it was fantastic, mainly due to Roberto's enthusiastic, knowledgeable, passionate and entertaining guiding style. My son was engaged for nearly 5 hours; really enthralled! Even he commented on Roberto's enthusiasm. We all learnt so much. It was worth every penny!

This tour was the highlight of our trip. Roberto was so knowledgable, hilarious, charming, and responsive to questions. He made the tour. Having the air conditioned bus was also a big plus. We went on other tours during our trip, but none of them were as interesting.
