You will be picked up from here in an air-conditioned coach and accompanied by an English-speaking guide taken on an ‘Angels and Demons’ tour based on the book by Dan Brown.
The story of Angels and Demons involves a conflict between an ancient group, the ‘Illuminati’ and the Roman Catholic Church. Take this treasure-hunt like romp through the Eternal City of Rome, follows the path of the ‘Illuminati’, a secret brotherhood which acts as a shadowy power behind the throne.
Visit Santa Maria del Popolo church, Piazza del Popolo, St. Peter’s Square, Santa Maria della Vittoria church, Pantheon, Piazza della Minerva, Piazza Navona and Castel Sant’Angelo.
Explore Castel Sant’Angelo from the inside. It is a towering cylindrical building initially commissioned by the Roman Emperor Hadrian as a mausoleum for himself and his family. The popes converted the structure into a castle in the 14th century. In Dan Brown’s novel, the location was the secret lair for the Hassassin (the killer) and the last existing church of the Illuminati.
After exploring the castle and learning about Hassassin’s plan to blow up the Vatican City and other secrets, the tour ends at Castel Sant’Angelo.
