You will be picked up from your hotel if it is located in the centre of the city.You will travel by coach to Florence accompanied by an English-speaking guide.The drive to Florence takes you though the green valley of Tevere, the vineyard covered slopes of Apennines and Chianti and will take approximately 4 hours.
On arrival in Florence you will visit The Galleria Della Accademia: See the work of rennaisance masters and the magnificent statue of David by Michelangelo.
Continue for a walking tour of the historical centre of Florence which will include:
Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore: Admire the beautiful dome of the cathedral which has been designed by Brunelleschi.
The Baptistery: Standing in front of the famous Duomo, this is one of the oldest buildings in the city. It is renowned for Ghiberti's 15th century bronze Gates of Paradise.
Giotto's Bell Tower: The bell tower by Giotto is one of the most striking landmarks of Florence.
In this area you will stop for lunch in a traditional Florentine restaurant. After lunch continue to:
Piazza Santa Croce: See the church where great artists like Michelangelo are buried.
Visit a leather shop to admire the typical crafts of the city. Also, see the works of the local goldsmiths and other traditional craftsmen.
You will depart from Florence at around 1700h (5:00pm), will be dropped in the vicinity of your hotel or Via G. Amendola 32.
